Residents will have a chance to weigh in on Deer Park's new comprehensive plan.

The Comprehensive Planning Committee will present a land use and development plan during the Deer Park Planning Commission meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the municipal building, 7777 Blue Ash Road.
The plan includes recommendations on Galbraith and Blue Ash Road development for both commercial and residential districts.
It's an opportunity for people to get involved, said P.J. Icard, owner of PJ's Difference and a member of the Comprehensive Planning Committee, about the upcoming meeting.
Icard praised the efforts of Safety Service Director Mike Berens in taking an active role in promoting the plan and getting it off the ground.
"(Those who) come to (the meeting) will have their eyes opened on what the committee has been working on the last 18 months to try and help revive and revitalize Deer Park," Icard said.
Tom Camp, owner of Camp Safety Equipment and also a member of the committee, said it is important to have a plan in place.
"We're trying to meet the needs of the future," he said.
Camp said another advantage to the plan is that it allows for a consistency in future development.
